I can't stand underwire and padding seems unnecessary.These are perfect and my other bra lasted for years with minimal degradation.The only downside was that all the micro-elastic fibers woven in, would break and dangle out like hairs-this is fixed simply by gently pulling them free until the bra runs out of them entirely and you still have a really nice bra!
